Matters of the Literary Heart

A good many years ago, when I was a more prolific writer, there was a webpage named Soul Food Cafe and it provided inspiration for an up-and-coming author.  It ceased functioning a few years ago, but I have found that it has been archived at the WayBack Machine, which pleased my 2003 heart. The creator, Heather Blakey was a self-styled midwife of artists' and writers' endeavours and I valued her imput on this site. I had found a myriad of pathways which fueled my parched imagination at a time when I needed it the most.

Pre Covid, I was a keen dystopian fan who adored the world of Orwell, Huxley and Bradbury et al. Now - not so much. It's amazing what an actual pandemic will do to a girl.  I like magical realism as a genre, so I might venture down that way, plus I like Modernist literature and some aspects of post Modernist - hell, I survived the House of Leaves, so I think I can read practically anything now...but can I write anything?

I have a severe lack of people to bounce ideas off of.  Anyone have any links or tips?
