I hadn't realised that Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence had inspired Muse's Map of the Problematique, but listening to the bassline and melodies, I can see quite obviously now. I am a die-hard DM fan and like a lot of Muse's previous work - but have not listened to their last two albums. However, I prefer Problematique over Silence - it would make a great mash up.
Update::: I found the mash up, but it sounded dreadful - tunes are in a different key for a start, but I can see it doing really quite well if they mashed the leads in the opening melody to both.
