To WriMo or Not to WriMo -That is the Question
Many moons ago, I participated in NaNoWriMo, but did not finish it - only got up to 10,000 words and that had been a bit laboured. For the first time in well over a decade, I had a look at the website - my, how things have changed.

So - basically, are there any veteran NaNos out there in LJ world? If so, how did the previous NaNo events go and did you succeed in your endeavours? I am seriously considering doing this, though I haven't got a clue what I am going to write about.

I've done NaNo several times but it's a while since I did it. I'm not sure whether I'd still get something out of it now? Although it's good to have that drive to do a certain number of words per day. Before, when it was easier to get out, I used to go to write-ins and was even an ML one year. I'd do it again down here, but it's just so busy right now. Maybe next year? I remember the first time I 'won' and wow, it was the most amazing feeling.

Saying that, I'd like to be able to have a reason to get some words down on one of my WIPs. If I get candidacy approved by then (which I would hope I would!), then I could use NaNo to get some words down on my exegesis or the novel. If not, or even if I do, I'd like to get a big chunk of my other WIP done.

If you do decide to go for it, let me know! Maybe you'll motivate me to get back into it.

I am considering it, right now I am trying to look for work and it will rather depend on my work situ at the time. Thanks for the info and I will inform you if I do indeed have a go :-)
