Peacock Butterfly

They are meant to be fairly common in the UK, but this is only the second time in my life that I have ever seen a peacock butterfly - the other time was in my lean to, hibernating alongside a surprised pipistrelle bat!

I'm glad you were able to get a shot of it. It's so gorgeous!

I know Peacocks quite well: my parents always had Buddleias, and the Peacocks and Small Torties loved them!

We mostly see red admirals here and a lot of cabbage whites.

Aw! I rescued a Flutterby from my flat the other night: I think it may have been a Burnet Companion.

They are rather lovely, too :-)
