I love Juvenal, and Horace is brilliant!

According to my notes, Juvenal seems to be under the category of Snarling Satirist, whereas Horace is a Smiling Satirist. JV seems to be the one with the 'biting invective' - HC more affable, though no means less of a satirist. Interesting - the differences between railing and rallying.

Horace is fab. I've been working as a transcriber on an 18C English translator of Horace, and have read most of his works in this way.
