12. Are you more into looks or brains?

Far prefer the nerd, if I have to be honest with you.  Looks are subjective anyway. Nothing is more seductive that being well-spoken with an extensive vocabulary.  In fact, I think it was rather remiss of the Greeks to not have a God/dess named 'Erudite' (like Aphrodite, but with intellect).

* exit stage left to make new hypothetical god/dess figure.

not i..

; )

are nerds the by product of a sheeple society? i've never understood that..

tell me more about your goddess..

In fact, I think it was rather remiss of the Greeks to not have a God/dess named 'Erudite' (like Aphrodite, but with intellect).

Possibly - leading a quiet revolution behind their keyboards. Or maybe they are the ones that cause sheeple - kids that didn't have much and sat festering, then strived to become powerful players turning people into being dumb as a bucket of rocks with their brand of politics/media/whatever. I'll do your thinking for you, as you sure as shit can't.

But I digress.

I think the Godd/ess Erudite would be draped in a sheet, donning a pair of spectacles, with a scroll aloft as if preparing to proclaim great knowledge to the masses. Wouldn't look quite so hot hunched up over a keyboard wearing a Vendetta mask - but I am prepared to compromise :-)

You have a point, there - I knew of Minerva (the Roman equivalent, of course), but didn't know so much about Athena.

I'm also reminded of a thought I had t'other month when browsing in Waterstone's. A couple of students were looking at the literary printed tote bags, and commenting on a Pride & Prejudice one: "I <3 Darcy" or some such... Anyway, there was I, wearing a locket containing a picture of Monsieur the Archdeacon of Josas, and thinking, "But does Darcy have his own alchemical laboratory...? No, I don't think so!"

A man with lots of books and a laboratory of his own is a must.

Poor dear Claude – destroying all around him and himself because a brainless bimbo of a dancer won't have him, when there are educated and intelligent lady readers who would rip his cassock off in an instant... ;-D

I hate to brag, but I think I've found a Nerd... or at least a most intelligent fun lovely adult male who writes the most enchanting letters in reply to my total nutcase waffle. HE IS EDUCATED oooh my, and it's such a JOY to chat with him. (He has also had books published... oh my. ) And the joyful thing is - we shall NEVER MEET... he hates travel, except by magic carpet... and I will never set foot in the UK again... so...its love by laughter and literacy! Oh lucky OLD me.

Nice for you to have a mutual muse - great energy to feed off of, albeit virtual :-)
